Of the old French breeders who bred roses before 1900 no breeder rates more entries than Vibert. Almost every entry is deserving of consideration in a large number of gardens. Ipsilante, for instance, Austin calls the most disease-resistant of old roses. La Ville de Bruxelles has some of the largest flat roses to be found in rosedom. Aimee Vibert is one of the most fragrant and rampant of the white rambling roses. D'Aguesseau is one of the darkest of Gallicas. And so on. Any rosarian besotted of old roses would do well to examine Viberts offerings well, for there's a lot of good stuff here.
