Four is a small number of entries but it underestimates somewhat Pedro Dot's influence. It was Dot who invented the miniature rose in Perla de Alcanada. Nevada has proven to be a perennial favorite for its vigor, resistance to disease, and the generosity with which it produces flowers. And Madame Gregoire Staechelin charms in a way few large flowered climbers do. There are also serious rose collectors in warm climates who work hard to collect a large portion of his introductions.
