Rose may be the most natural -looking of rose colors. If one is to pursue a naturalistic planting style -filling the garden with roses in whites and pinks - rose is a necessary part of such a plan, especially if some crimsons are being included. Some of rosedom's most foliferous and durable roses are in this color range. In fact, few colors host more roses that fit this discription. It is also interesting to note that the range of flower shapes and plant habits is represented here better than perhaps in any other color range. The only caveat is that there is some variation here: a few of these rosy colors can be warm and may not always look good next to the cooler ones. Separate with lighter or darker colors.
John Cabot is shown in the photograph, trained as a climber. In earlier seasons at this same garden I must confess to being underwhelmed by this plant, but when photographed it was having quite a good year, romping all over and strewing masses of flowers everywhere.
