Comments Though one of the more obscure of the Barbier brothers wichurana climbers, Primavere deserves a little more attention. Its flowers are not so plentiful as those of its half siblings Paul Noel, Paul Transon, Franoise Juranville or Alberic Barbier, but they are a little larger. Their intricate architecture, notes Charles Quest-Ritson, makes them appear larger than they are. The color ranges from bright yellow to soft primrose. It blossoms but once a year; but the show is beautiful enough to warrant using this rose instead of a repeat climber. It is, evidently a rose that needs some extra care.
