Comments A rose breeder who would cross Orleans Rose with Talisman would be hoping for a rose with the former's world-beating cold hardiness, vigor, remontance, and floral generosity, while also gaining larger flowers and more interesting color of the latter. At one level Poulsen's Bedder is a bit of a disappointment since the resulting flower has nothing of its pollen parent's formal or color loveliness. But at another level, the rose is every bit as good as its seed parent, and the roses it makes are interesting. It is, therefore, a fixture in large beds in places like Huntington garden in LA or the San Jose Heritage Park.
