Comments In bud, the flower is high-centered. It opens into a blossom about six inches across, that is packed full of petals, and takes on a color that ranges from bright apricot to soft shell pink, touching on coral and orange. At any stage of its development it's hard to look upon it and remain unmoved. But, as Botanica's Roses puts it, "There's only a light scent, which is a pity in a flower of such warm and welcoming appearance." The rose is part of Meilland's Romantica collection, a collection of roses whose flowers are packed with petals and rendered in soft shades of pink, apricot, and crimson to compete with David Austin's roses. To its great credit, the plant is vigorous, cold hardy, and very disease resistant. And the flowers are good for cutting.
