Comments Were this a rose raised by Austin, Lambert or Pernet-Ducher, it would surely be popular today. It covers itself with cupped old rose style blossoms with as many as 100 petals that are rich with perfume. These it holds near very glossy dark foliage with a bit of an olive green tinge. It also makes the Tenarky chapter of the ARS's list of very fragrant roses and it is distributed by a northern Florida mail order nursery suggesting that it's about as resistant to blackspot as a modern rose can be. Rain can cause the blossoms to ball.
