Comments Phyllis Bide impresses by flowering so freely and repeating so well. And by bringing most of what we love about polyanthas to a large plant. Under some conditions the flowers are an almost pure primrose yellow. Under other conditions they are almost white, perhaps with some pink edges. Most of the time there is a touch of pink and yellow in the rose giving it a lovely peachy/apricot sensibility. It grows quickly to six feet, branches vigorously, and flowers profusely. It's a great show. But - as is true of many vigorous roses grown on their own roots - if its roots completely dry out in its first few years, if it doesn't die it can be set back for years.
