Comments Purplish mauve roses cover the small plant periodically through the season, occasionally opening a bright cerise. The plant grows slowly, but it is very disease resistant. And it resists most normal garden insults - poor soil, some shade, even a touch of drought. It would be almost impossible to over-praise this plant if one liked its flowers and didn't mind its lack of scent. But there is way in which the beautiful bright green foliage clashes with the mauve flowers that one might find distracting. Similarly, one may dislike the way the bright stamens detract from the flowers. And some people will feel scandalized at having a scentless mauve rose. Where all these faults go unnoticed, this is one tremendous rose.
