Comments It produces lovely soft primrose yellow flowers rich with tea fragrance and feturing delicately scrolling petals. These it holds near rich green foliage with a definite yellow tinge. The plant is well branched and furnished with foliage, so the effect is charming. Those living in central Texas and Southern California will possibly find no primrose rose more pleasing than Perle des Jardins. It will be a fine flower in Provence as well. Elsewhere the weather may prove too cool, cold, damp, cloudy, humid, rainy, sweltering, or dry. It is not cold hardy, it is highly susceptible to mildew, its thin petals ball in wet weather and fry in low humidity and bright sun. But where it is happy it will bring great pleasure.
