Comments This is the first orange-colored English rose. The color is highly variable, ranging from a soft pale apricot to deep apricot. No matter what it turns out to be, it still manages to avoid a garish edginess one sometimes sees in warm-colored roses. It still is soft enough to look really handsome with other David Austin roses, for example. The large, cupped flowers are set off by very dark green leaves growing from mahogony stems. It's a very nice overall effect. Some will find the stems a little weak, causing the flowers to face outward or maybe even hang their heads as if in shame. But sometimes it's not a bad look.
