Comments Unique lilac blossoms are edged in rosy red on this extraordinary hybrid tea rose. Under good conditions, there is much pleasant fragrance. When the rose does this well it is quite interesting; sometimes it is stunning. But it's not quite so vigorous a grower as many hybrid tea roses, and it can look quite gaunt and spindly. It also can burn badly in hot sun; so in places like the Arizona desert, a bit of early afternoon shade might be helpful. Another idea is to plant a rose like Shocking Blue in front of it and Barbara Streisand beside it, and just hope it won't be overpowered by them.
