Comments Ophelia makes high-centered silky blossoms whose color varies from pale pink to deep candy pink and may touch on pale apricot, ivory or buff - especially in the depths of the blossom. It's the parent of countless fine roses, having at least 36 sports including Lady Sylvia and Madame Butterfly. This rose was one of the first to exemplify the high-centered hybrid tea form. And as one of the first, it also managed ot retain an ineffable old rose charm that is sometimes missing from later hybrids. Ophelia is old now and doesn't get out much anymore. But her climbing sport is commercially available.
