Comments The first of McGredy's "Hand-Painted Roses," Old Master produces large blossoms in red, edged in pure white and with white centers. Petal reverse is white. The open flowers are complemented by yellow stamens. It's hard to find the flower very pretty, but it's always striking and novel. A serious collector's garden would probably have this rose. Or one might plant it in pots instead of red geraniums to make a statement. It's a vigorous and durable plant.
