Comments Vermilion high-centered buds open and fade to coral, revealing yellow stamens. Sometimes, though, it's more of a simple rose color. The rose is vigorous and disease resistant. It has won its share at the show bench.

BTW: There is an old, old trait to be found in red roses of producing white veinous strips down the middle of the flower petal. They do not show in buds, but as soon as outer petals peel away they do. Sometimes this trait can be ignored in larger flowers, though I find it distracting. In this mini, however, it can be enough to make one wish one had chosen another.
