Comments Those who love the delicate blooms of Marechal Niel with their high centers and reflexed petals nodding on wiry stems might find something special in the blossoms of Niphetos. Some of this beauty is evident when the rose is grown at the northern edge of its range in England. But the real beauty seems to shine through when it is grown in a Mediterranean climate.

There is a climbing sport that seems to capture the same beauty, sending the flowers 8 ft into the air. Its descendant Mrs. Herbert Stevens possesses some of the same quality that seems a little more evident in old drawings of the rose than it does in photos.
