Comments After putting on a strong show in the spring, the plant puts out the occasional flower through the rest of the season, or it repeats in autumn. This is a very old garden rose, brought back from the far east by returning crusaders in the thirteenth century. When given plenty of light and adequate soil and water, it is a trouble-free rose. Its flowers are said to be very powerfully fragrant and are among a handful of roses used to produce rose attar for perfume.
