Comments It features a rich perfume redolent of damask roses and sweet peas. There is a curvatious softness to the shape of this flower that is absent from some other purplish roses. Its introducer, Jackson and Perkins seems to have it dropped quickly after its patent expired, substituting two or three other purple roses: Melody Parfume and Wild Blue Yonder. There are mild complaints about it suckering or growing too big. I saw it once in a garden in Houson and found it to be a well-developed plant and its flowers possessed a delicate, soft charm. It's a little difficult to find in commerce outside California and Australia.
