Comments The marketing photos of Molineux depict a bright golden rose very much in the vein of parent Golden Celebration, but with just a touch more apricot to the flower. There are a lot of other photos suggesting the same thing; but under certain conditions the flowers are much softer in color, sometimes suggesting an amalgam of pink and soft yellow. The flowers are cupped and muddled in old rose style and are deliciously and powerfully scented - for which it won a rare and coveted James Alexander Gamble Award. The plant is compact, vigorous, cold hardy, highly remontant, and very resistant to disease. Judging from comments and ratings at HMF gardeners from just about every corner of the globe are agog with its performance on just about every level. It's very difficult to think of a rose with such a range of strengths and so few evident weaknesses, except that it is not a great exhibition or cut flower. ARS Members give it an 8.0.
