Comments The color of this gallica can be dark near the base of the flowers - almost crimson. But the petals can bleach in the sun toward dusky rose or even a cool pink. In any case, it is just pale enough to clash with nothing except garish reds, oranges, yellows, and golds. The flowers are nicely fragrant and borne plentifully on the plant, just once per season. This is a rose that can stand a little afternoon shade.
