Comments Since its introduction in 1974 Marina has been the go-to rose for pure orange flowers produced generously on a compact floribunda bush. The individual roses are high-centered, bright orange. Yellow pigment can bleach from the outside petals in strong sun, even as the red pigment darkens, framing the bright orange central petal with a softer coral color. Except for this subtle change, the rose does not fade in bright sun, which makes it unusual among orange roses. With good cultivation it can thrive through much of US. Marina is one of those rare orange roses that produce strong but garden-friendly color with fairly good continuity and without too much fuss.
