Comments Typical of the type of color variation found in tea roses, but lesser in extent, the shiny yellowish petals pale to white as they age; outer petals blush. The flowers are large, a little informal, somewhat fragrant, and plentiful. The nickname Winter Gem comes from its habit of blooming late in the season, close to Thanksgiving in the Carolinas, for example. Plant health is quite good, making it a very good choice for the American South.
