Comments "One of the most sumptuous of old roses" writes David Austin of this rose in Old and English Roses. The blossoms form flowers with a shallow cup and sometimes display the fine and intricate quartering of the best gallica roses. There is a lovely button eye. This rose always photographs a luminous pink and it boasts rich fragrance. Sadly, it blooms but once a year, but the quality of the flowers and the trouble-free nature of the plant will frequently more than make up for this - especially in coolish climates.
