Comments Can there be any tea rose whose high-centered flower better presages the beauty of the perfect high-centered hybrid tea blossom and surpasses it? Not many. The thin petals curl slightly at the tips to form a fairly large high-centered blossom that is nicely fragrant. It may be evenly pink. Or its silky petals might be flushed with enough yellow tinge to give the flower a shell pink sheen. Or it might be ivory white with darker pink outside petals. As it ages the petals scroll to create a lively multi-pointed flower typical of old teas. Owing to its parent Marie van Houtte, this is one of the more cold-hardy of the teas. There is a climbing sport that that reaches 12 ft.
