Comments The correct name is "Madame Wagram, Countess of Turenne" It produces big, high centered fragrant blossoms that, to a person mostly familiar with modern roses, might make one think "La France done right," for it develops the modern, high-centered tea rose theme a little bit when the flower is in bud while preserving and extending the fine old rose look as the flower opens. Not, evidently, a rose for small gardens it produces long canes that are sometimes far from vertical, filling up more space than at first allocated. It is said to be among the best roses at resisting blackspot.
