Comments Embodying the romance of old roses in form and fragrance but with hints of the form of more modern hybrid tea roses to come, this modern rose was the rage in British flower shops just before WW1. The argument for growing the hybrid tea bush today might be more one of nostalgia than anything else. It is a good smeller. Of its climbing sport, though, Botanica's Roses (p377) says "It is still one of the best and most repeat-flowering of all pink climbing roses."
