Comments It's a pure, saturated orange that somehow manages never to look garish or metallic. The plant is vigorous, repeating quickly and it is very disease resistant. It produces hips, too. It has won almost every award there is. And it is distributed by just about every outlet. ARS members rate it a solid 8.1. While it survives neglect well, it evidently responds well to coddling, too. It's a pretty good rose. Not a big surprise because Harkness was practiced at breeding easy-care roses and at winning awards with his good ones.
