Comments Linda Campbell makes large, red, floppy flowers on a healthy plant. The flowers are scentless and would not win at exhibition, but the rose would add a splash of color to the landscape. The leaves are relatively smooth and the canes are nearly thornless. There exist some rugosa hybrids that don't seem to make enough flowers to make the plant seem quite worthwhile, but Linda Cambell is not one of them. This is an ideal rose to grow where winters are cold, but it can work in other places, too: perhaps in places east of the Mississippi where some cold hardiness and resistance to blackspot would be welcome.
