Comments Edmund LeGrice released a number of single flowered roses with charms unusual or subtle. Lilac Charm's single flowers are a soft mauve or lavender, but usually render pink or white. They are single and are almost five inches across. The central boss of stamens is red and yellow, which will sometimes look terrific with the flowers and sometimes clash mightily. The plant it s well branched and foliated. As I look at photos of this rose online I wonder whether both the lilac and the charm might be too subtle for me to divine.
