Comments The flowers open a deep apricot color and fade through pale apricot or salmon to pale pink. A cluster of flowers is likely to display all these colors at once. The flowers are packed with petals and quite redolent of fruit. If one has any doubt as to the beauty of this show, see Botanica's Roses p 359 for a nice full-page photo. Martin [9] recommends self-pegging or training the plant on a fence or low wall lest the long canes bear a single terminal flower. It's likely to be more of a problem where summers are especially sunny and/or hot. In cool Pacific NW climates it is said to bear flowers through the summer.
