Comments If one must grow a vermilion rose, this is among the better choices; it is a tad more orange than the other popular vermilion rose, Trumpeter. Newer varieties such as Tuscan Sun produce softer, more garden-friendly orange colored blossoms; but the strong, saturated color of Impatient can really stir things up. It has pretty good health where summers are not too hot and damp; for instance it is on the Oregon State list of easy-care roses for the Pacific Northwest. And in good conditions, it will blooms generously during two or three flushes per season.
