Comments Straw yellow buds open and darken slightly to a soft yellow with wavy petals. This would be a wonderful rose to plant en-mass in an area where one wanted an elegant, warm, welcoming effect. The plant is reputed to be vigorous and disease resistant; and it makes several flushes of flowers during the season, including a very late one. As Otto and Sons suggests, it is a color that looks good in the fall garden.

BTW: Julia Child has more recently been introduced and for sheer number of flowers, good health, and fragrance it is a better rose. Where the flower's shape matters or where the soft straw color is important, one might still choose Honey Bouquet.
