Comments Heinrich Schultheis was a champion exhibition rose in the Victorian era, and it retains some of that mystique thanks to its neat cupped an muddled flowers that are a deliciously dark warm pink. It was grown by Bennett who is better known for introducing Mrs. John Laing, another fragrant pink hybrid perpetual. Opinions on the shape of the plant vary. Pickering calls it lush and well foliated. But most sources imply that the plant is less beautiful in the garden than the flowers.
