Comments There are but a few good orange roses. Most hail from the British Isles. Harold MacMillan appears to be a good choice. It's from the breeder who brought us the enduring Easy Going and Livin' Easy floribundas and the hybrid tea rose Alexander. This floribunda has just a little more formal appearance than its orange successors. And it can appear just a little more vermilion than orange: Modern Roses X and Botanica's roses both describe it as orange-red. Harold MacMillan is also quite disease resistant and it does well in coolish climates.
