Comments If it's a scarlet double climbing rose you're after, there aren't many great choices. This one is pretty good, though, if you can train it on a structure that allows plenty of air movement. There are plenty of photos depicting it a dull dark pink, suggesting that it is not reliably scarlet in color. The color seems to be more reliably warm where the temperatures are as well: France and Portugal, for example. Evidently it grows near Moskow, and in parts of Sweden, even if it doesn't always turn bright scarlet there.
