Comments Gingersnap is a unique shade of tangerine orange, sometimes with a touch of darker maroon shading that gives a slight brownish cast to the color of older petals. The strong color can sometimes fade toward shell pink as the blossoms age; but it might be a little less prone to this than many "orange" roses. It's a rose that can make an impact in the garden out of scale with its size. It is not especially vigorous, nor is it completely resistant to black spot. It is probably best grown in mediterranean climates.
