Comments George Burns is a one-of-a-kind rose. It is so unique that if it is placed in an unexpected place it can actually elicit chuckles. It features bright vermilion stripes on a pale background that is flushed with yellow. The yellow can fade in sunlight and hot weather; but the red is less prone to do so. Blooms on a young plant can look funny, because they are relatively large in comparison to the plant. It boasts good resistance to disease. Not be the best rose to play nicely in the middle of a mixed border, but if you need a plant to divert attention, this might be a good choice.
