Comments Awards for fragrance have not always been awarded at major shows and exhibitions. But since its relatively recent introduction, it's doubtful that any rose has won more fragrance competitions than Frederic Mistral. If you need a very fragrant, high-centered pink rose, this is an excellent choice. Be aware that because it is part of the Romantica series it may be a little more tough than the average hybrid tea of the day, but its blossoms are also not quite so formally shaped, though they are borne either solitarily or in small clusters.

BTW: Interestingly, its parent The McCartney Rose happens to get more press than Frederic Mistral these days. It's a more formal shape and a darker shade of pink. TMCR is also a rose reknown for good fragrance.
