Comments Where it is happy it can produce beautiful, dark red flowers with good continuity. Francis Dubreuil does, however, need steadily hot temperatures to thrive. It is probably a good rose for much of central Texas, parts of the Gulf Coast, and California's central valley. In zone 7 in the mountains of Arizona the rose simply does not grow. It's cold hardy. But it does not gain an inch of height in a year.
