Comments The fragrant flower petals are candy pink on the front, but yellowish or pale apricot on the reverse. They are thin enough that there is some bleed-through of the color when they are back-lit. But they are thick enough that the flowers can linger on the plant, looking good for four or five days in a row, maybe more. They are also nicely scrolled or reflexed to give the rose a classic tea form. It's such a very classy and sophisticated look that people would grow this rose even if it were tough to care for: but it's not. The rose can be remarkably vigorous and free of disease. It appears on the NC State list of easy-care roses, and ARS members rate it in the mid eights - a stellar rating for a hybrid tea rose. Its unique qualities have made it a rose whose popularity in the US continues to grow three decades after its introduction. And should.
