Comments This vigorous plant, if disciplined, will do well on a pergola, otherwise it is fine for covering the end of a building. It produces fragrant, silky flowers in a flush in early summer. The color is variable, described as cream, pale pink ivory, pale buff, or lilac. The flowers are nicely cupped in a way that would almost certainly appeal to David Austin, and the scent is reminiscent of port wine.
