Comments Petals are pale coral on the front, apricot on the reverse. The overall effect is stunning. So is the level of confusion surrounding the identity of this rose. Meilland has marketed two hybrid teas under the moniker Ambassador, a red rose aimed at the cut flower market and a coral/gold rose. MEIbigoud (1994) vs MEInuzeten (1976). The older rose MEInuzeten is highly variable in the garden, sometimes being pink and apricot instead of the more desireable red and gold. The older version is available at Vintage Garden roses despite having been declared extinct by the ARS at the request of Meilland Roses.
