Comments Elveshorn is bred from The Fairy, a Bentall hybrid musk. And it retains many of the qualities of that rose. Its popularity and good ARS ratings derive from its high resistance to fungal disease, its vigor, and its ability to produce plenty of little pompon flowers throughout the season. These have a tiny bit of fragrance. The plant is sturdy and disease free. The color of the roses might alternatively be described as salmon, dark pink, dark rose, or perhaps sometimes even crimson. In any case they are an assertive but not overpowering warm color - unique but still quite garden-friendly. It is a rose better suited to gardens that do not suffer from blistering heat or severe dryness which can really play havoc with the look of the roses, if not with the vigor of the plant.
