Comments Else Knoll produces large, coppery orange flowers. As is true for many coppery colored roses, the yellow and red pigments can develop at different rates, meaning that the color of the rose can be highly variable, ranging from a simple warm pink to yellowish to orangish. When it is perfect, it is very nice. It probably is not a good rose for any purpose other than cutting, for it is not an especially attractive plant. It is probably not a great plant for hot, muggy climates, either. But evidently it does please a great many rose gardeners, since it has an ARS rating that is solidly above average.
