Comments Any rose that is in broad circulation more than forty years after its introduction is a good rose. And it's probably going to stay in commerce. Dearest is one such rose. It does one thing, and it does it well. It makes great clusters of rosy salmon little flowers. The buds are high-centered and they open to reveal silvery stamens. It is relatively vigorous; but spraying is advised by at least one British supplier. It's probably best grown in Mediterranean climates.
