Comments Its flowers range from a bright electric red to dark coral or reddish orange. Occasionally they will fade all the way to a light pink - which really doesn't look that good.

BTW: Independence brought warm geranium red to rose breeding and Peace could have brought a kiss of yellow to this rose. This was perhaps the first climber to incorporate pure red pigment into its flowers. There is a stunning display of Danse des Sylphes at Roseraie de l'Hay that makes one wonder why it is not planted more universally. Perhaps it is not a rose of especially easy culture. Or perhaps that fading problem is too prevalent.
