Comments Cupcake is among the more durable of the miniature roses, in many senses. It has, for instance, been a top-selling miniature rose for most of its nearly 40 year history. In the garden, too, when even good minis such as Magic Carrousel or Winsome languish in hot, humid, parched soil conditions, Cupcake keeps going and going. Its high centered blossoms are formal, dressy and very pretty. Sure, the warmish candy pink or shell pink blossoms are in a rather common color for roses, but it's a color that looks good against Cupcakes red-tinged foliage. It cannot be said to cover itself in blossoms, but once established it does bloom frequently.
