Comments Judging from the number of photos of Alister Stella Gray and from the fact that this is one of just a handful of Noisettes distributed by Canadian rose nurseries, this must be one of the all-time great noisettes. The flowers are a delicious and very garden-friently shade of pale primrose or buff. They are produced in great numbers over a long blooming period. According to Botanica's Roses [12 p74] "no other rose will bloom so continuously." Those in zones colder than USDA zone 7 will probably need to give the canes winter protection. And this may be one rose for which such ministrations are truly worthwhile.
