Comments The single bright red flowers have a primrose eye that turns red soon after the flower opens. The blossoms are held in great heads of 20 to 40 at a time. The flowers are slightly redolent of spice and are borne in flushes through summer. Cocktail evidently inherits a good measure of its pollent parent's (Phyllis Bide) vigor and disease resistance, making it a plant of easy culture except where soil grows too dry.
