Comments Its pink and White striped flowers are suffused with primrose. Sometimes the pale yellow is found only near the base; but in favorable circumstances it might cover the whole petal. It's a unique effect, if not always a pleasing one.

BTW:Claude Monet was one the founders of French Impressionism. His skill and prolific output make him one of the most influencial painters of all time. It's a matter of some disappointment, then, that the rose named for him has sunk to such obscurity. Its distribution pattern suggests it might fair best where summers are not sweltering: parts of California, Autralia, and France, perhaps.
